Your Carbon Footprint

Reducing Your “Carbon Footprint” so you can make a difference. Oceans give us 80% of our oxygen, Trees give us 20% of our oxygen. Oceans also provide us with food, medicine, jobs and recreation.

Each of us makes a footprint on our world. It is up to us to make sure our footprint is small which is good.

If we damage plants or animals we are making a bad footprint. If we help plants and animals our footprint is good.

If we damage (pollute) our water we are making a bad footprint. If we help keep our water clean our footprint is good.

If we waste water we are making a bad footprint. If we help save (conserve) water our footprint is good. If we waste electricity we are making a bad footprint.

If we make a good footprint we are making a good (positive) difference and can become an OCEAN HERO.

Save Money $$$ and Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

Use cloth shopping bags instead of plastic

Use reusable water bottles to avoid plastic bottles

Use Eco products

Avoid using a dryer and hang clothes to dry

Reduce dryer time and heat: put a dry towel into the dryer to absorb moisture

and dry on the LOW heat setting for 30 minutes
