Dive in to explore an incredible world beneath the waves

Opens June 5

Voyage to the Deep: Underwater Adventures brings to life the mythical world of Captain Nemo and the real wonders of ocean exploration. Based on Jules Verne's classic novel, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, this interactive exhibition takes you on an exciting deep-sea adventure—perfect for families and kids ages 2-10.

Climb aboard Captain Nemo’s fantastical Nautilus submarine to  discover the inner workings of an underwater vessel. Take up the controls at the helm, peer through the periscopes, crank the propeller and explore Captain Nemo’s Cabinet of Curiosities full of amazing marine specimens.

Venture through the Octopus Garden, search for sea creatures in the Kelp Forest and explore the lost world of Atlantis. The Voyage to the Deep exhibition was created and developed by the Australian National Maritime Museum, an Australian Government entity. The exhibition tour is managed by Flying Fish Exhibits.

This high-end documentary feature film was made by the Plastic Oceans Foundation, a global network of independent not-for-profit and charitable organizations united in their aims to change the way we deal with plastic waste by challenging society's perception that this indestructible substance can be treated as 'disposable'. They seek to change the world's attitude to plastic within one generation. Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, Toronto Chapter, presents the film "A Plastic Ocean" at Fox Theatre on Thursday June 8   6pm to 9pm. Fox Theatre is located at 2236 Queen St East, Toronto ON M4E 1G2

A Plastic Ocean presents a detailed and haunting visual with never-before-seen footage confirming the magnitude and pervasiveness of plastic pollution in the world’s oceans and uncovers the consequences to human health and well-being.  The film declares that the time for change has come.  As a catalyst for this change, the film introduces possible solutions as science, technology and international policy strive to mitigate the problem before the point of no return has been passed.
