World Oceans Day June 8, Oceans Week June 1-8
Ocean Hero is in schools worldwide. Thank You Teachers!
Everyone can become an Ocean Hero, a protector of our waterways, oceans and marine life. Oceans generate 80% of our oxygen. Both our waterways and our oceans are a major source of food. Their health depends on us. Together we can make a difference. Please see the Criteria for earning an Ocean Hero certificate below.
Our Ocean Hero is traveling: Students, Teachers and Parents across Canada, USA, Europe, Australia, India, Japan, Africa, UK and China (to mention just a few) are earning the Ocean Hero Certificate. Bravo! Our Ocean Hero is traveling with Educators to Switzerland and Taiwan too.

AUSTRALIA
During a telephone call the Marine Science Centre asked "May we take the Ocean Hero Program into every school and utilize the Ocean Hero character and Ocean Hero Certificates?". Of course World Oceans Day Education said YES.
Then in a follow up email we received the following;
"We organized a number of World Oceans Day activities at schools in Victoria (Australia) a few weeks ago and students developed artwork from plastics that we collected on the beach (in line with the New Year’s Resolution: Less Disposable Plastic). We are putting together a display of the artwork at the Australian Marine Sciences Association conference in Geelong next week"
